To reach Cisterna beach and Palud ornithological reserve you have to follow the road toward Pula, after 5 km drive you take the road that goes to Veštar campground, 100 m before the Veštar main entrance you must turn left on a dirt road. This road leads toward Cisterna beach and Palud (Map view).
In Cisterna bay there are no regulated parking places, so you need to find your own spot and there are no services. Cisterna is a wild beach with a big pebble bay. Ten meters from the shore there is a sandbank and in low tide you can stand on.
